Environmental Impact
Shockingly, less than 11% of Canada’s plastics are being recycled. That means that what doesn’t get recycled ends up in landfills for years.
Canada has officially announced that it will ban single-use plastics by the end of 2021, posing a significant problem for the food service industry. Thankfully, CanGreen products are sustainable, innovative, and superior in many ways - lending efficiency and versatility to consumers.
All CanGreen Eco-Friendly products decompose into nutrient-rich compost within 8 - 12 weeks. This compost grows more plants, creating a closed-loop cycle. By operating this way, our products help divert waste from overcrowded landfills. They can be disposed of in bins marked Organic Waste. Composting helps enrich the soil, retain moisture, and suppress plant diseases and paste.

The Process
Residual sugar cane called ‘Bagasse’ is churned and made into pulp.
With the application of high temperature and pressure, the pulp is moulded into high-quality tableware products that can easily be decomposed in your home compost.
